After more than ten years of working on web projects, we\u2019ve seen all kinds of situations.
Clients who got exactly what they needed. Clients who got something completely different from what was promised.
Websites costing a few hundred euro. Websites costing tens of thousands.
And one thing almost never changes - most people are ordering a website for the first or second time in their lives and don\u2019t know what questions to ask beforehand.<\/p>

1. A beautiful design is not a strategy<\/strong><\/p>

One of the first things clients see is the design. And that\u2019s perfectly normal.
The problem is that even the most beautiful website in the world won\u2019t help much if the visitor doesn\u2019t understand what you\u2019re offering, why they should choose you, and how to contact you. Design is important, but it\u2019s a means to an end, not the end itself.<\/p>

2. A domain and hosting aren\u2019t a website<\/strong><\/p>

You often see ads like: \u201cFree domain and hosting.\u201d
It sounds great, but the domain is the address. Hosting is where the website is stored - it\u2019s not the website itself.
It\u2019s like buying a plot of land and saying the house is ready.<\/p>

3. Ask what happens after launch<\/strong><\/p>

Many offers end the moment the website goes live. For us, that\u2019s when the real work begins.
Who will handle updates?
Who will monitor security?
Who will create backups?
Who will respond if a problem arises?
These are questions worth asking in advance.<\/p>

4. Will you be able to manage the website yourself?<\/strong><\/p>

This is one of our favorite questions, because after a few months, almost every business needs to make some changes.
A new service. A new photo. A new article. A new product.
Ask if you\u2019ll have an admin panel and if you\u2019ll receive training on how to use it. A well-built website shouldn\u2019t require a programmer for every edit.<\/p>

5. Cheap isn\u2019t always the best deal<\/strong><\/p>

We\u2019re not saying that the most expensive option is the best, but we\u2019re also not saying that cheap is necessarily bad.
When comparing quotes, look at what\u2019s actually included in them.
Sometimes the price difference isn\u2019t in the design, but in maintenance, security, training, and future development.<\/p>

6. The website must be able to grow along with your business<\/strong><\/p>

Today, you may need a corporate website.
A year from now, an online store.
Two years from now, integration with an internal system.
Ask whether the project allows for future development, or if you\u2019ll have to start from scratch down the line.<\/p>

7. Content is more important than you think<\/strong><\/p>

Many people spend weeks choosing colors and hours on the text.
The truth is that visitors come for the information, and good content sells more than pretty animations.<\/p>

8. SEO isn\u2019t a button<\/strong><\/p>

If someone promises you the top spot on Google in a few days, ask more questions.
SEO is a process. It begins with building the site\u2019s structure and continues long after the site goes live.<\/p>

9. AI is an assistant, not a replacement for your business<\/strong><\/p>
